Summer Camp 2025
These camps are for the kids with bulging notebooks and ink-stained fingers, the ones frantically typing, even though it’s long past time to go to bed, the ones with flashlights stashed under their pillows for late night reading sessions. They're also for the kids who want to write but just don't know where to start. They're a creative time out—a safe space to to hone writing and public speaking skills while connecting with other kids, in an environment designed to be warm, supportive and nurturing. Camp format is a little different from our traditional classes: we'll mix it up, with games and more community building exercises to quickly bring the group together. We'll also read inspiring mentor texts, discuss, write and share. Sessions are one week long, but can be strung together—the format repeats, but our mentor texts do not. Beginner, intermediate and advanced designations don't always map perfectly to grade level. Please reach out to anne@workshop26.org if you're not sure about the best placement for your child.
